This is the tomb that she lies now. It's in the style of a Celtic reliquary.
This is the church her grandfather was rector.
And this is the rectory where she was brought up. It's not 100 yards to where she now lies in the Whitechurch at Castlane.
All three are striking shots and I like that you did the tomb in B&W. And that lends real credence to the idea of not straying far from home! :)

DeleteI discovered her dad took over from her grandfather. So even more so. I thought at first the memorial didn't have her remains but the script in the last post says it has. Then, they brought the body back from Rome.
There's something sweet (that's not really the right word, but I can't think of a better one) about her being brought back to those places that she had strong ties to. The church is very pretty. Her family's status seems apparent. I don't imagine that that type of tomb was all that commonplace.

Poignant, I think is the word. And yes she was very well connected. Not at the top mind. I was in a graveyard today that contained a Governor-General of Canada and his wife. Georgina's people weren't in that grade.
