Miscellany

Commenting on politics in a blog nowadays is quite hard for no sooner have you've formed a theses with a set of facts, things have moved on leaving you looking kinda bemused. For while you might project a scenario, some off the wall strawman thought experiment, you never actually think it'll come to pass. But it comes, and worse. Who'd have thought the US president would close out the US's European allies.

I have my exhibition coming up on Saturday for two weeks. So I've been quite bust making the frames and getting the printing done.

Jessy seems weak in her hind legs and I'm not sure if it's something out of the way or just a slight drag of a muscle. She was running like a mad thing after a midget greyhound who had the wherewithal to exhaust her.

  1. I find debating politics hard because it is impossible to keep anyone else on a specific topic of debate. If you try to debate one specific topic, the other person inevitably drags in five other topics in support instead of debating the single topic on merit alone.

I really love that top picture but all of them are great.

    1. If you set the limits so tightly you simply have a rubber stamping of your own opinion. Simply put if someone set the premise, and set them tightly enough, the conclusion follows. So you test the premise, not the conclusion.

And thanks, we've had a very yellow late April and May.

  2. I certainly wouldn't classify myself as a Trump fan, but some of what he said in Europe needed saying... (imo)

I bet Jessy just pulled something or (like many of us) is finding out she can't do the same things she did when she was younger. Excellent shot of her in the mirror! As to that last photo.... well, she's certainly got you wrapped around her paw! :)

    1. It's not what he said, but how and where. This sorta stuff gets done behind the scenes

Mmm, I've been a bit worried for a while not about her hips and rear end generally. I noticed it after a long mountain walk, and I thought maybe she had a tumble. But then after a few days it was fine and she wasn't whining when I moved things about. But then it comes back every so often once she has a long run through the woods.
And yeah, she's a scamp OK.

  3. I gave up debating politics a long time ago but still enjoy observing and, occasionally, commenting. With Trump it is so often his delivery that is annoying, not so much what he says but how he says it.

Good luck with the exhibition. And hope Jessy is better.
