  1. I bet this takes on an entirely different life in color. I do like the B&W, though.

    1. I have been exploring tone and shape. So this one isn't as dark and moody as my others.

  2. What kind of trees are being harvested?

    2. Same difference. We were all the Scoti to the Romans.

  3. I agree with Kelly about the difference in the color and the BW. While several of the subjects in the photo are symbolic of Ireland, you have to work a lot harder to put these pieces together to say, “Oh ya, that looks like it could be Ireland.” In color, it’s more obvious. Maybe your point?
Are you viewing the Blood Moon tonight? I’m a little jealous if so! ;)
    How’s the show going?

    1. There's more range in a B&W in summertime than colour, lending itself to a range of moods. And as to Irish, there is for real Celtic Cross not 500 yards from that pile of wood :-D.
We had a very long period without rain, and then this weekend we've had cloud bursts and thunder and
lightening so seeing a moon, blood, largest and longest eclipse, or otherwise in utterly moot.

  4. Interesting in B&W--I would like to see comparison it in color.

On another note, I have just about finished reading John O'Donohue's "To Bless the Space between Us" I have enjoyed both is prose and poetry. I assume you know of him being Irish.

    1. I know OF him, but I don't know him, nor his writings.

I think the B&W works here. And it's an old technique to go to the silver side.
