    1. Thank you. I met a guy from Atlanta that I thought was from Texas or Louisiana. Told me he did the 4 hour drive from Atlanta to Savannah in 2.

  2. Wow! Wow! Wow! It's gorgeous!
Does that mean the scaffolding is gone and construction is done or did you shoot around it? Looks like it was a busy tourist day.
What's all that green stuff?!?!? ;)

    1. Yeah, they do that queer oxymoronic thing of repairing ruins. I was shocked at the number of people, for mid September.
If you look at the pillar on the left you'll see the shadow. That was a cross that lightening struck in the 70s. But it wasn't that old only 150 years.
Anyhoos, the light is yellow/golden of a sunset these days. But we've had some storms which swept whatever pollution that clings to higher places. So the grass really was that yellow cast you get from a sunrise/set.

    2. I'll tell you, most of the time I travel I can't get away from the scaffolding. Of course, I get it, but it's pretty frustrating to arrive at some main site you've been dying to see (and photograph) to find it draped in its construction garb.
It's a gorgeous shot. I like the perspective, being able to take it all in.

    3. Oh I know. It's almost as if they've decided to paint the thing once they heard I was coming.

Jessy ran out this morning to do her usual run around to check things and stopped dead and started growling. I t took me a while to figure out she was having issues with a fog bank in the field.
