  1. How about that! Did the inside consistency turn out like you wanted? Oooo... you could do a good pizza that way!

    1. It was/is a French bread flour mix so no fat. And of course it makes it a tad chewy. But It's good. I tried a pizza. But it needed the lava rock to diffuse the heat.

  2. What do you have it cooking in, a cast iron skillet? I bet it tasted great! It's fun to make an entire meal on the grill...the clean up is virtually nil.

    1. Yep, the cast iron skillet for steaks. It has no sides.

I did it that way because the oven is shot.

    2. Ah, ya, I just noticed it has no sides. Could it work as a pizza "stone" also?
You're oven is broken? Ugh! That is a pricey appliance. Thank goodness for the grill, then!

  3. I always use my cast iron skillets to make biscuits (the Southern kind, not the British cookie). That looks good, but it appears one side is hotter than the other.

    1. Yeah those biscuits of yours are neared to out scones, I believe. The burning looks worse than it is. Singed would be the word.
It kinda surprised me that it did work as well as it did.

  4. That looks great and was probably delicious hot off the grill. Maybe you will share the recipe in a future post?
