Reminds me of our old farmhouse heated by a wood stove. Our dog would lay in front of the stove and get so hot that it would cause you to pull your hand back in surprise. That dog just loved soaking in the heat.
Yep they do love the heat.

She's at the level of the stove with her feet. She's that near it. And I have to be REAL insistent to shift her to put more firing on.
