Fiber broadband LOOOOOOK

  1. That's pretty decent. Back when I lived 20 miles away with fiber optics, I was getting close to 80Mbps download. I sometimes miss those days of instant gratification!

    1. I sent almost my entire vault to Drop box IN A FEW HOURS. It was telling me 6 months before today.

    2. Ha! It made me chuckle that it told you SIX MONTHS! That's pretty darn slow. :)
This is your telecom company upgrading then, I'm assuming. Congrats...you'll be thrilled with the speed.

    3. Yes. And no.
The phone company was a State body and no one could get a phone. Then the privatised it and the EU insisted on competition. So you have one company that builds and owns the line framework and sells as a phone provider too. But you also have lots of other TelCo's that are virtually trading for the competition rules makes it happen. But here I moved to the main provider and got the modem 'free'. Or at least I now have fibre and unlimited usage and free evening and weekend calls for the same as I was paying for the old broadband and a free hour of calls !. If it works it's a swing and a hit in your parlance.

  2. Given I have no choice but what I have (and it's slow, but could be slower), I try not to think about this too much...
