  1. I think what I enjoyed most about the video was your voice. Something about accents fascinates me. Kind of like when I heard the voice of Sage over at Musings blog the first time. I should have studied linguistics in college.

    1. You are very lucky you didn't. It was a part of mine and I nearly lost the will to live. And it was the closest thing to systematising prejudice I'd ever seen still being regularly lectured upon in uni's.
But my accent is a bit all over the place.

  2. I do think I hear a hint of an Irish accent :) That auto-focus is a bit tricky at times. It was interesting hearing your voice and wondering what you dog thought about being filmed.

    1. Yep, at least kinda Irish anyway. I wasn't using Auto for it makes that darn cranking noise and keeps hunting. I simply have to get the feel in my fingers.

  3. I love this! Add me to those who enjoy hearing different accents. (I'm sure y'all would get a real laugh out of mine...)

I'm not sure Jess knows what to think of you filming here. She's giving you a bit of a look. ;)

    1. I like accents and different patois. Sometimes it's amusing to trace the progression of a word. Where one impinged on another.

She couldn't see my face for I was behind the camera. That's why she wasn't all that fussed with looking at me. Scamp.

  4. Jess looked THRILLED to have you filming her. I was imagining her thoughts, and none of them were very polite. :) She sat so still for you though, even with cows nearby.
I agree, I think accents and word origins are fascinating. When traveling, I enjoy hearing others' accents and feel a bit deprived that SoCal doesn't really have one. Yours started out sounding a bit "English" (sorry, I hope that isn't offensive) to me when talking to Jess, but then I heard the Irish. Do you think that has something to do with your time in London, or am I just hearing things?

    1. How did I miss this.

Yeah, she couldn't see my face as I was looking at the live view on the back of the camera to see could I grab focus. She doesn't think cameraface is worth dealing with at all.
On my own. I never really had a strong Tipperary accent but when I went to live in London they made out I had a very thick accent to their ears. So I had to adjust which wasn't liked when I came back to Ireland. But now I have what amounts to a university accent. One formed by the hearing or forming for sound new words so when you deploy certain words you the sould of the entire becomes very modulated.
Mind you I'd not realised my delivery was quite so wry.
