    1. Yes it is, and very hard to photograph too.

  3. Beautiful and I am curious as to who "LA" is, too.

    1. Thank you, but an amazing Autumn has helped quite a bit. See above.

  4. You're welcome... ;) I was reading that the donations came from Sam Yorty (former mayor - arguably the worst one LA has had), Armand Hammer (Oxy Oil tycoon and actor, Armie Hammer's grandfather), and the Irish-Israeli Society - An interesting mix, to say the least.
It looks like a very nice, peaceful spot however. Is it thought of as like a pilgrimage spot due to the spring water? Or is it more like a park, a place to read a book and relax?

    1. Yeah, downright peculiar.
I went to get the image, so I didn't read the plaque this time. I remembered the general story and know the Jews of LA had a hand in it. What I hadn't realised just how involved.

I think it was a Celtic site appropriated by the Church. It's an odd spot since the water bubbles like it's boiling. People do go there to draw water, but how safe that is I've no clue. It may well be a clean as a whistle but somehow I doubt it.
