Such a beautiful art form. A few weeks ago, I had to sit in another seat at church that I don't normally sit at and I found myself staring at the beautiful stained class windows over behind a corner that normally aren't in view to me. I thought at the time I could probably spend the hour staring at them and not listening to the sermon and not grow bored. Great pictures by the way!
So beautiful! I love stained glass and think rose windows are especially lovely. I've belonged to three churches in my lifetime (two Episcopal and one Methodist) and have fond memories of the stained glass in all of them. The chapel of the Methodist Church I grew up in only had stained glass on one side (the other side being an interior wall). About ten years ago, a group took on a rather lofty goal of creating needlepoint mirror images of the windows for the bare wall. It turned out great.
