  1. Cute pictures. Was Jess looking at the cows? She looks very alert.
I read somewhere that it was national black dog day here yesterday.
The cow has quite a "head of hair". I've not seen one with the forelock (is that what it is on a cow) so curly. It looks a bit like a toupee. :)

    1. Yes, she was giving them the evils. They were being friendly, she wasn't.

    2. Supposedly, black dogs are considered less adoptable than lighter dogs. I've never picked out a dog based on color, but apparently it's a thing.

    3. Really ?????. I've never even thought of it. I've heard of a black cat being unlucky but never anything else. And certainly not a dog.
This isn't a race thing by any chance ?.

  2. Well you can' go wrong with animal pictures... especially dogs or cows. ;)

Jess might find out they aren't all friendly if she tried chasing one. We have a few that chase back. (and rightly so, as the dogs are not supposed to bother them)

I've heard that about black cats (two of my grandkitties are black) and I know the shelters don't like adopting them out this time of year for fear of what folks might want them for. I can't imagine why black dogs would be harder to place, though. Given my love of Rottweilers, I have a soft spot for black dogs. Our Blue-girl (who is black) is one of our prettiest dogs and think of all the lovely black labs.
