The bloody bangers are going off yet again.

The fireworks are going off. Not too much, but it's early yet. Still my little hound decided to find her safe spots in the house again.
She's been 'not herself' for a week or so and I was hoping it was the bangers and not something far more serious. I got her this steak at the market to see if she would be OK with it. And YEA, she's fine. The meat was beyond what humans should eat, but for dogs it was just 'au point'. Not quite rank, but not something 'you'd' willingly eat yourself.
She went 'WOW, ALL FOR ME. really'. She wasn't at all sure she should eat it.

  1. Ha! I bet she did wonder if it was all for her. If she'd pulled it off the kitchen counter herself she'd be in so much trouble. :). Glad she enjoyed it and seems to be ok. Those loud noises can give them fits. Why the fireworks? Just kids fooling around or are they celebrating something?

    1. The only time she ever did the pulling off the counter it was wholly my fault for I was showing off sending her in to get her lead and she decided the loin of beef was what I really wanted. :-D

Why the fireworks ?. Here it's a spread off from England and being too bloody stupid not to get that Burning the Guy is representing the religious wars of the 17th century where the Guy is a Catholic. But they play off the Halloween too, but again get it wrong. Well, the Irish born as distinct from Irish/Celtic fail to get it anyway. But yes, kids fooling about. It's why Jessy had real issues.

  2. Poor girlie. I'm glad you treated her to a steak.

    1. It seemed to settle her. I don't know if it was the action of chewing releasing endorphins or that she got half a cow to chomp upon.

  3. I think I blogged about this years ago but one day my dog came home with a neatly wrapped package in his mouth. He peeled off the paper and there were two of the nicest steaks I had seen and my dog proceeded to eat them both. I don't know where he got them but assumed someone was hauling them home from the locker and lost a few of them off the back of their truck along our rural gravel road.
