I would say the average American in my town doesn't even walk that far in a month's worth of shopping. Here it is just too spread out so you end up driving. That is why lots of us have exercise equipment in our basements to make up for it.
I'm one of those who never had trouble getting in those 10000 steps when I tracked it, but yes... I have the exercise equipment, too (and use it to exercise, not hang clothes on!).
It's amazing how fast they do add up and with relatively little effort. I think the thing that is most important about those steps is that they are achieved over a continuous amount of time like the long walks. I don't think the stop and and go throughout the day is quite as effective of that which gets the heart rate up. Was this tracked just by keeping the phone in your pocket? I like the frames. Have you printed the photos yet? I know you can't show them, but I'm curious if you've tried them in the frames and like them.

ReplyDeleteDo you keep your watch set in miles and not kilometers? I would hate to see how far down my travels via foot have gone over the past month.
