Georgian doorway, Dublin.

  1. The colorful doors are great. This is an interesting one with the panels showing scenes. That's not typical, is it? They look like people in a pub and then at a show of some kind? I can't make out the narrow ones, though.
Does a trip to Dublin mean you've had news about your photo?

  2. It's the only one I saw done up like that. And I'm not exactly sure just why. It's on Merrion Sq, opposite the parliament and the dead zoo AKA the natural history museum.

And yes, but I have a post ready to go on the photo.

  3. Great colors in that door. Makes the green door on my house look dull by comparison. ;)

I would enjoy the Natural History museum.

    1. It stood out because it wasn't in keeping with the rest of the doors, and that it was near the corner. I think it was the 1st or 2nd in. I think though it's the mix of the brassy golden colour and the blue that catches the eye. And on a dull day it really pops.

It's a while since I was in there. But when I visited I think the conclusion I came out with was 'cute'. You see I worked for many years near the NHM in London. Now THAT'S a spot.

    2. My last two visits to Chicago incorporated the Shedd Aquarium and the Chicago Art Institute. I want to visit the Field Museum next time and see Sue the T-Rex. :)

And of course I'd like to visit the Smithsonian again someday. I spent one afternoon there and that barely scratches the surface.
